Samples for this week

Just to let you know what we have planed for this week. We did talk about doing an all day class this week. Doing something in the morning then having lunch at the bookshop then doing something else in the afternoon. I know a few of you wanted to do this so if you can please let me know who will be staying for lunch it will help with the catering. If you don't want to do all day you can come just for the morning or afternoon I don't mind, just let me know which one you would prefer to do.

I will be doing some very nice boxes in the morning session, the photos are from Jacqueline Dee who has very kindly allowed us to use her template. You will find a lot more of her great designs on her blog HERE.

Then after lunch we will be getting messy using stamps, ink, and sprays to make a Christmas decoration for the home. You will have a choice of colours  for this but the main design will be the same.

If you can please let me know if you can make it or not I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
 Cath

Sample for 1st November

Ok ladies here is the samples for the class this week. As you all know I have been very busy this week so I have cheated and used some old samples here.

This one was made in Feb of this year as a Valentines card, you can see the hearts in the bottom.

The shaker portion of this card has been made for a long time, I just added it to a card I had hanging around.
Hope you like the cards and enjoy making them this week.

Thanks,
Cathx

Sample cards for 25th Oct

You might of noticed that these cards are not Shaker cards! We will be doing them later on but this week we will be sticking to something easy for the new ones among us. So this weeks cards are these.

The red card was made using the new paper we had brought from the UK, and the white card was made using recycled cards. The white one is not finished yet but I do not have a stamp or peel-offs that will go.

You can get two cards from each A4 sheet.

thanks,
Cath

Class sample for 18th Oct

Here is this weeks sample, sorry it was late but I had to send someone off to find the camera that HE left in a restaurant the other night!

I just made this one up quickly and didn't read the instructions properly!  The cord I used is to thick and the paper covering the front is to thin, so didn't do to bad there did I.

If you have any round stamps or punches can you please bring them, Jack can you bring the dies and folders please.

Thanks,
Cath

Sample cards for 11th Oct

Here are a few samples of the card we will be doing this week.

This first card I used some fantastic new paper that Ann brought us from UK it is from a company called Craftwork cards, I have put a link to them in the side bar. The sentiment is from a new embossing folder for the Big Shot that has six different sentiments on it, I just used some silver mirror card and cut out the one I wanted.

On this next card I used another new embossing folder that we have just got, this one has snowmen on it and would make a nice card on its own, I just cut a section out of the middle. I used a card that had a white core of I could sand to get the soft effect. I also used some Card Candy on the sides, I am not to sure if I have stuck them on right or not but it was the only way I could get them to stay.

Hope you like them
see you all on Monday

Sorry ladies I am running so late this week with everything that is going on, but here are a couple of photos of this weeks card.

It was hard to get a decent photo of the card open but hopefully this will give you an idea.

You can get two cards from a sheet of A4 card so this is a economical card to make.

Sample for 20th sept (edited second card added)

Here is the sample for this week.

The instructions say to make it from double sided patterned paper, but I am not sure. I will try and get another one made so you can see the difference. The whole card is made from one piece of ten and a half by five and a quarter inch card and goes into a five and a half inch square envelope. I will bring a selection of double sided card with me as well as the normal bits so you could try both.

Second card added.

I think I like this one the best of them both.

See you on Monday,

thanks,
 Cath

As you can see this card stands by itself. The front and back are the same on this sample but if you would like you can do just one side or change the theme.

I will bring the usual things, if there is anything extra you would like me to bring please let me know. All you need is something to decorate, paper, ribbons, stamps ect.

Thanks
